Beatriz A. Llorente received her B.B.A. in International Finance in 1998 and Marketing from the University of Miami and her J.D. degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2001. She started her career at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office in 2001 as a Certified Legal Intern and then became and Assistant Public Defender.
She currently has her own firm, Law Offices of Beatriz A. Llorente, P.A. focusing on Criminal Defense and Real Estate. She is a member of a number of organizations where she has held numerous positions. She has served on Florida Bar Grievance Committee and in the Florida Bar Juvenile Rules Committee. She was a Class II Fellow for the William Reece Smith, Jr. Florida Bar Leadership Academy. Currently, she is a member of the following organizations and has held numerous positions in each: South Miami Kendall Bar Association, Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Cuban American Bar Association, Junior League of Miami, Zeta Tau Alpha Alumnae Association, Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade, University of Miami Alumni Association, St. Thomas University School of Law Alumni Association, and Dade County Bar Association. In addition, Betty is a Licensed Real Estate Sales Associate and a Notary Public for the State of Florida.
She serves as a mentor at the University of Miami School of Business Mentor Program. She likes to spend her time with her nieces and nephew, when she is not visiting nursing homes and reading to children through Dog Therapy, Inc and serving as a Guardian at Litem. She is past president of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers – Miami Chapter and currently a Chapter Representative for the Statewide Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL – Statewide).
